Planning a wedding party is a big undertaking, and the seemingly never ending checklist of to-dos can quickly feel too much to handle. But it doesn’t have to be—especially if you follow a structured fb timeline that allows you to prioritize tasks and stay on track. We asked top organizers to share the wedding-planning timelines with us, so you can get the most out of your planning knowledge.

Major your wedding vision is the very first step in setting up a clear cover delivering your dream to our lives. Tessa Lyn Brand, owner of wedding planning agency Tessa Lyn Happenings, says doze to 14 months is the ideal engagement length for that wedding, but if yours is short, try to condense all the items that along with months two through six in the first month.

Tour and book your venue, if you haven’t previously. Venues generally fill up at least a year ahead, thus booking previously can be sure your date exists.

Acquire or order all the wedding products you need, which include toasting flutes, cake hosts, and unity candle lights. Shop for getting-ready outfits (dresses, tuxes) for yourself plus your bridal party, if necessary. Shop for gift ideas (optional) for your attendants and yourself.

Send out your final RSVP list to the caterer, and help to make sure all of the guest-related vendors have final count up. Write your toasts meant for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception (and practice all of them if you want). Assemble accept bags for anyone who is providing those to out-of-town guests, if required. Have your last clothing or fit fitting, and order every one of the shoes and accessories you need to complete the ensemble.
